Very tasty food

Absolute top! I can only recommend the Gasthaus zum Löwen. The cuisine here is fresh, creative, high quality, regional and varied. We have been guests many times and have never been disappointed. In addition to the varied menu, you will always find something new in the daily offers. The kitchen here has nothing to do with a "normal village economy". Fresh products are regularly offered that you would never expect in a country inn. Here everything is always prepared excellently. My insider tips are fresh fish, local game and all fresh regional products. Definitely try it out!

We have often been to family celebrations at the Gasthaus zum Löwen and the food has always been a poem. Be sure to order a dessert, e.g. one of the really extraordinary ice cream combinations (e.g. vanilla with smoked salt)

As always, very good

Were there for the first time. Very friendly service. Even the boss and mother of the boss personally said "hello" and asked if we were happy with the food, which we found to be very positive! Ate burgers (Sinngrundburger) and it was great. Conclusion: we will come again!

My review is actually 4,5 stars. The owner/cook is really top notch. He creates wonderful dishes. Only the interior of the restaurant really needs to be renovated, the fabric on the chairs are worn out, the flooring is old. etc. The decor is fine, it has a nice hometown feeling to it- it has just seen better days. The dining menu has really too much to chose from. It would be better if there was less to chose from. Those special dishes could be offered once a week. If the owner of this restaurant would divide his time and work with the Bayrische Schanz to make it a restaurant with excellent traditional and quickly served food, by ladies dressed in traditional clothes, it could become world renowned place to visit. There is real potential there.

The "Gasthaus zum Löwen" in Rieneck offers incredible kitchen quality. The food is five stars +! The hospitality and the service are great and it is always nice to get there. In addition, the chef takes the opportunity to prepare customized menus for his cultural events! Pleasure and cultural enjoyment, what more could you want !!!

Great kitchen. The lion would run smoothly. What the landlord conjures in the kitchen is incredible. Even a simple grill plate delights the palate more than expected. Be sure to try the diverse desserts (ice cream)! Reserve at the weekend!

Instead of the ordered Rehmedallions I got the whole, perfectly roasted, fillet of deer with Dauphin potatoes and peas. That was really great!
